How can I stay satiated through the holidays?

By Katie Ferraro, MPH, RD, CDE

The holiday season is filled with joyous gatherings, delicious meals, festive drinks, and for some: unwanted weight gain.

How can you maximize your holidays and minimize your waistline? Focus on staying satiated!

Satiety is the term used to describe the feeling of fullness. It’s the satisfying sensation we get when we are pleasantly ― but not overly ― full.

Protein and fiber are two key nutrients that help promote satiety. If you can incorporate some fiber and protein in each small meal and snack you eat, you help nourish your body throughout the day, without ever feeling overly famished.

Fiber d’Lish bars fit the bill when it comes to selecting a satiating snack. Each bar has 12 grams of dietary fiber (about half your daily needs) and 3-4 grams of protein. They come in ten delicious flavors ― so there’s something for everyone’s palate, no matter which holiday you celebrate!

Happy holidays & stay satiated!
